Zooeyia: an essential component of "One Health".

Kate Hodgson1, Marcia Darling.

Abstract

One Health is dedicated to improving the health of all species through the integration of human and veterinary medicine. To date, initiatives have primarily focussed on controlling zoonoses. This paper discusses zooeyia, the positive benefits to human health from interacting with animals, focussing on the companion animal.
