Abstract
A case of angiosarcoma of the skin of the breast is described in a woman 7 years after a primary breast carcinoma was treated by means of lumpectomy and irradiation. On mammograms, the angiosarcoma showed redevelopment of skin thickening and increase in breast density. Clinically, the skin showed patchy discoloration. Although there is an established association of angiosarcoma with lymphedema and therapeutic irradiation, there have been few other reports of this rare complication of local therapy for breast carcinoma. Recognition of the mammographic and clinical manifestations may help in the earlier diagnosis of additional cases.Entities:
