[Morphologic aspects of late degradation in arterial prosthetic reconstruction].

Abstract

Fragments of synthetic prostheses in knitted Dacron velour implanted years previously have been examined. Macrophages were found which fragment elements of the prostheses. It is concluded that synthetic knitted velour prostheses are biodegradable.
