Abstract
Situs inversus totalis (SIT) is a very rare condition. Laparoscopic surgery in a patient with SIT is difficult because the surgeon's dexterity is compromised during the procedure, and the patient's anatomy is the mirror image of normal. We present a SIT patient who underwent laparoscopic abdominoperineal resection for rectal cancer. The detailed operative procedures and trocar placement considerations are described.Entities:
