Abstract

A recently isolated gold(I) complex, [Au(IPr)(OH)], permits the transformation of carboxylic acids to the corresponding decarboxylated gold(I)-aryl complex without the use of silver co-catalyst under mild reaction conditions. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2011
