CHD risk factors: a Framingham study update.

W B Kannel1.

Abstract

Recent findings in this classic epidemiologic study underscore the point: coronary heart disease is distinctly multifactorial. Potential for acquiring the disease is determined by blood lipids, blood pressure, ECG findings, and other factors that tend to cluster and interact. For prevention and treatment, the composite risk has to be addressed.
