Abstract
It has been suggested that 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (FDG-PET) might serve as a tool for the often difficult diagnosis of infective endocarditis. The case is described of a patient with a Bartonella henselae endocarditis with a negative FDG-PET. This case report demonstrates that negative FDG-PET findings do not rule out the presence of endocarditis.Entities:
