Abstract
A greater understanding of the interaction between HIV and host signaling pathways that restrict virus production may lead to new methods to purge virus from latent reservoirs and enhance survival/function of cells targeted by HIV. This review highlights the role of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway as a host factor that represses HIV replication in multiple targets, especially those relevant to HIV in the central nervous system.Entities:
