Abstract
Liver biopsy has been used in the assessment of the nature and course of liver diseases and to monitor treatments. In nontransplanted patients, liver biopsies have been well described. Less has been written on the biopsies of transplanted livers. In the liver transplant population, liver biopsy remains the "gold standard" for the diagnosis of rejection. The transplanted liver has additional considerations that can make biopsy less routine and more challenging.Entities:
