Abstract
BACKGROUND: Dietary pattern may influence the risks of cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis, type 2 diabetes, and metabolic syndrome through its effects on inflammation. We evaluated the association between dietary pattern and serum high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) in a Japanese population.Entities:

aBased on multiple linear regression analysis; the model included a continuous variable with the median value of dietary pattern score within each quintile category.
bAdjusted for age (y).
cGeometric mean (95% confidence interval).
dAdjusted for age (y), alcohol consumption (never, former, and current drinker consuming 0.1–22.9, 23.0–45.9, and ≥46 g ethanol/d), smoking (never, former, and current smoker of 1–19, 20–39, and ≥40 cigarettes/d), and physical activity level (continuous) in 3842 men and 5579 women.
eAdjusted for all variables in Model 2 plus body mass index (kg/m2) in 3842 men and 5579 women.
