Abstract
INTRODUCTION: Clinical preventive services can detect diseases early, when they are most treatable, but these services may not be provided as recommended. Assessing the provision of services to patients at risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD) could help identify disparities and areas for improvement.Entities:

Data were adjusted for age, sex, race/ethnicity, source of payment, region, and smoking status except for tobacco education. Tobacco education for current smokers was assessed only after adjusting for age, sex, race/ethnicity, source of payment, and region. Eight clinical preventive services were assessed with the outcome (risk for CVD) independently by using multiple logistic regression models. All values were significant at P < .01.
