Abstract
INTRODUCTION: Several studies suggest that physical activity may improve health-related quality of life. Other studies have shown that participation in physical activity differs among women of different racial/ethnic groups. This study aimed to determine whether the association between physical activity and health-related quality of life differs among women aged 40 to 64 years from different racial/ethnic groups.Entities:

Abbreviations: PM, predicted marginal; CI, confidence interval.
PMs are the average values of the health-related quality of life measures in a subgroup adjusted for other variables in the model, and their 95% CIs are based on a weighted analysis to account for complex sample survey design. Days are out of the previous 30 days. Respondents were assigned to racial/ethnic groups on the basis of their responses on the questionnaire and the classification method developed by the University of California, Los Angeles, Center for Health Policy Research (21).
