Abstract

The cooperative catalyst activity between a chiral transition-metal catalyst and an achiral organocatalyst has been identified as one of the critical asymmetric reaction optimization components in the highly diastereo- and enantioselective aldol reaction of methyl α-isocyanoacetate.
