What's New In ENT?

F S Wong.

Abstract

In recent years there have been marked changes and improvements in the field of otolaryngology. Some of those which are of particular concern to the family physician are covered in this article. The promising results achieved with 'permanent' tubes for chronic eustachian tube dysfunction are described, together with impedance audiometry as a screening tool and the indications for T & A. Also included are vertigo, vasomotor rhinitis, microsurgery of the larynx and conservation surgery of the larynx.
