Abstract
Before attempting any preventive action to control essential hypertension, we must know who is at risk. Normative data are needed for blood pressure, especially that measured in a non-clinical setting. This study measured blood pressure in a group of 2004 students aged six to 18. Their pressures were taken at school, and compared with those found in other studies where the pressures were taken in a clinical setting. A significant difference was found, suggesting that further investigation is needed into normative data.Entities:
