With increases in the efforts of preventive medicine and lowering of mandatory retirement ages, many of our patients are experiencing the stresses involved in handling the loss of their lifetime's employment.Patients may be helped to relieve these stresses by appropriate advice about physical and mental activity, diet, use of medications, and use of health care facilities before and after retirement.
