Y Steinert.

Abstract

Patients frequently present with stress-related symptoms which are associated with common life experiences. This article describes how the physician, or another health-care professional, may assess the stress patients are experiencing and the coping behaviors which they manifest. It also focuses on what the physician may do to help patients deal with certain life stresses.
