Intracardiac epithelial cyst in association with an atrioventricular canal defect.

Abstract

An epithelial cyst within the heart is an uncommon occurrence. Cysts associated with cardiac malformations are very rare. We present a case of an epithelial cyst in the interatrial septum of a premature infant in association with a persistent atrioventricular canal defect.
