A comparison of oxytetracycline and trimethoprim/sulfamethoxasole in treating non-gonococcal urethritis.

R K Percival-Smith, A M Johnson.

Abstract

This double blind study compares the use of oxytetracycline to trimethoprim/sulfamethoxasole in the treatment on non-gonococcal urethritis. Designed to meet the reality of treating a clinical rather than a microbiological entity, the study involved 102 students with clinical evidence of NGU. Both drugs were found equally effective in treatment.
