Breech delivery: a 12-year survey in a family practice.

I Simpson.

Abstract

The obstetric and perinatal records of 156 breech deliveries over 12 years in a family practice were analyzed and mortality and morbidity statistics extracted. There were 90 singleton, mature babies, without congenital abnormality, delivered vaginally. Of these, 28 babies were located, matched with a control group, physically examined, and given developmental assessment, IQ and psychological testing. There were no differences between the groups.
