Abstract
Anxiety and depression are frequently associated with myocardial infarction and may play an important role in subsequent morbidity and mortality. The few clinical trials assessing the benefits of psychopharmacogical or non-drug psychological interventions for such patients have been encouraging, but hardly conclusive. Rational management is possible only with adequate delineation of the patients at high risk, the disorders they suffer, and the properties of therapeutic agents employed.Entities:
