On motor vehicle accidents and prevention.

A R Wilcock.

Abstract

Motor vehicle accidents, a modern epidemic, cause sudden unexpected loss and personal disasters. They challenge the physician in many ways but the ultimate challenge is how to prevent them. A rational approach requires good data and analysis together with realistic practical measures aimed at minimizing high risk situations. Physicians can contribute in many ways towards better public awareness of the problem and how to solve it.
