Abstract
Today, most epileptics can participate freely in a wide range of activities. However, their epilepsy does create some special problems. The degree to which they participate in sports is governed by their degree of seizure control, as are their employment opportunities and driving privileges. Epilepsy does not appear to be a major stress factor in marriage as long as the spouse is knowledgeable about the condition. Epileptic women usually have normal pregnancies though their relative risks are perhaps double those for the non-epileptic population. Children of epileptic women have about four times the general population's risk of seizure but the absolute level of risk is not high.Entities:
