Abstract
Colonic obstruction is common with malignancy as the most common cause. Endoscopic placement of intraluminal self-expanding stents is a newer option to manage this challenging problem. In benign disease, endoscopic dilatation may play a role whereas stenting can serve as a bridge to surgery. Indications and placement techniques are discussed along with a summary of published results and complications.Entities:
