G A Duke.

Abstract

Scrotal masses may be asymptomatic, discovered by patients or on routine examination, and include herniae, hydroceles, spermatoceles and primary tumors. Painful masses include infections, trauma, or torsion and may require prompt surgical intervention. This article reviews examination, diagnosis and accepted treatment for each situation, emphasizing documentation and prompt diagnosis.
