Abstract
Vaginitis is a common condition observed in family practice and in office gynecology. One of the organisms which commonly causes vaginitis is candida albicans, which is commonly found as a saprophytic organism. However, apparently allergic reactions to candida causing vaginitis are not commonly known or recognized. In fact, only one series has been reported in the literature, and this was related to chronic monilial infections. In my practice I have encountered five cases of acute vaginal allergic responses to monilia over the past 15 years. These cases, with an account of control subjects, form the basis of this article.Entities:
