Flexible sigmoidoscopy in a family practice.

Abstract

This article constitutes a report on the use of the flexible sigmoidoscope in family-practice. My experience, coupled with supporting evidence, points out the benefits of flexible over rigid sigmoidoscopy. The flexible sigmoidoscope is easier to use, and the yield of pathology detected is certainly much higher with this instrument.
