Abstract
All-terrain vehicle (ATV) riding has become very popular over the past decade. Several reports have shown that ATV riding can cause injury. Poor machine design, rider inexperience, inappropriate riding, carrying passengers, alcohol consumption, and use of ATVs by children have been identified as causes of injury. Three- and four-wheel ATVs demand considerable rider skill and caution, requirements which users may not appreciate. Physicians have an important role in recording and reporting ATV-related health hazards.Entities:
