Abstract
The tender uterus is one of the most common gynecological presentations. Making a correct diagnosis is of vital importance in the management of patients with this condition because of the diverse etiology involved. In most cases, diagnosis can be made relatively easily from a complete history and physical examination alone because each differential diagnosis has a distinctive clinical presentation. Pelvic inflammatory disease is one of the main causes of a tender uterus. Prompt diagnosis and therapy may lead to prevention of its long-term sequelae, such as chronic pain, recurrent infection, ectopic pregnancy, and infertility.Entities:
