Psychiatric outreach to underserviced communities in british columbia.

Abstract

The author describes the maldistribution of psychiatric physicians in British Columbia, speculates on the causes of that phenomenon, and summarizes the response to the problem provided by the Psychiatric Outreach Program, a project sponsored jointly by the Ministry of Health and the University of British Columbia.
