Abstract

The Mohawk community of Kahnawake, Quebec, has a high prevalence rate of non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. This article outlines the development and implementation of an extensive diabetic education program that is offered to all diabetics. It describes the benefits gained by the diabetic patients.
