Abstract
Toxoplasma gondii is one of the important zoonotic parasites of worldwide zoological & geographical distribution. ELISA prevalence of Toxoplasma gondii in Egyptian locally bred working donkeys in greater Cairo was evaluated. The donkeys were 75 females & 25 males aged between 3-10 years. The results showed that ELISA antibodies of T. gondii were found in 45 out of 100 (45%) working donkeys. Donkeys' milk obtained from fifteen pregnant females was T. gondii positive in seven (46.3%). The zoonotic role of donkeys and their milk were discussed.Entities:
