Abstract
Carcinoma of the prostate accounts for 17% of malignancies in men. Great strides have been made in the understanding of the biology and natural history of this disease. It is clear that earlier diagnosis of the clinical carcinoma will improve overall disease-specific survival rates. The author reviews the diagnostic techniques and advances in management of localized and metastatic disease.Entities:
