Abstract
The Government of Quebec promulgated regulations in June 1987 that precipitately expanded the number of family medicine residencies in Quebec while effectively abolishing the rotating internship. The authors describe the context in which the expansion took place, the problems posed for the four Quebec programs, the solutions attempted, the outcomes envisaged, and some remaining difficulties.Year: 1990 PMID: 21233949 PMCID: PMC2280216
