Abstract
Most newborns are admitted and managed in level 1 nurseries. Hypoglycemia, polycythemia, and jitteriness are three common clinical problems of these newborns, for which the family physician may request pediatric consultation. The authors discuss the definition, incidence, etiologies, clinical features, and the current diagnostic and treatment approach of these problems.Entities:
