Abstract
A sexual history should be routinely obtained from all travellers. Those whose symptoms indicate a sexually transmitted disease may need to be investigated for unusual infections. Resistant strains of gonorrhea are becoming a major concern. Chancroid should be considered in the differential diagnosis of genital ulcer disease. The possiblility of human immunodeficiency virus infection should be discussed with all these patients.Entities:
