Abstract
The world of evolutionary biology today is being bombarded with all kinds of possible constraints to the process of natural selection. Are we witnessing the end of the neodarwinistic theory of evolution, as some may like to see it, or is it just another whim of giving new names to old things? Here, we attempt to unravel the meaning and name-giving of constraints in a small and nonrandom sample of the literature, and suggest a way out from the present confusion of usages.Year: 1991 PMID: 21232448 DOI: 10.1016/0169-5347(91)90059-7
