Abstract
Carcinoma of the prostate is a common cancer, and its incidence is rising. A digital rectal examination should be routine to allow early diagnosis. Several screening and investigative techniques are available. Choice of treatment depends on the age and health of the patient and whether the cancer has spread. Treatments include observation, prostatectomy, radiation, and surgical or medical castration.Entities:
