Abstract
Family psychoeducation and multi-family groups have demonstrated remarkable effects on relapse rates and rehabilitation outcomes for schizophrenia. The components of this approach include techniques for 1) establishing an empathic collaboration with family members, 2) providing information about the illness and specific guidelines for ongoing management, 3) problem solving to enhance coping skills, and 4) expanding the patient's and family's social network.Entities:
