Abstract

It is a well-known fact that poor nutrition is widespread among the elderly. Nutritional evaluation is a part of the total assessment of the aging patient. Clinical issues relating to protein and calorie deficiencies are discussed, as are various aspects of diagnosis. A rational approach to management is also presented.
