Abstract
Tight glucose control is clearly beneficial in the pregnant insulin-dependent diabetic. In other areas (retinopathy, established nephropathy, and hypoglycemia) the question whether tight control of diabetes is justified remains unanswered. Preliminary evidence suggests that tight control, if begun early, can prevent clinical nephropathy and neuropathy.Entities:
