Abstract
This article outlines some psychological concerns of patients with sexually transmitted diseases, which they may not express unless physicians encourage discussion. Patients with STDs need counseling; physicians should consider issues of fear, guilt, and trust. Representative case histories illustrate common elements of hidden psychological damage.Entities:
