Abstract
We used data from the Kids' Inpatient Database to examine Clostridium difficile infection (CDI) among children with cancer. The CDI rate was 15 times greater among children with cancer compared with those without cancer. Children with cancer accounted for 21% of all pediatric CDI cases. Increased adherence to infection control recommendations is needed to address CDI in children with cancer.Entities:
