Abstract

The title compound, C(22)H(26)N(2)O(2), is chiral; the absolute configuration follows from the known chirality of the input reagents. The asymmetric unit contains two crystallographically independent mol-ecules in different orientations. The two mol-ecules are related to each other by a non-crystallographic twofold rotation axis, while each mol-ecule exhibits a further pseudo-twofold axis. Bond distances and angles are similar in the two mol-ecules. Inter-molecular C-H⋯π(ring) inter-actions and intra-molecular O-H⋯N hydrogen bonds are observed in the crystal structure.

Primary atom site location: structure-invariant direct methods
Geometry. All e.s.d.'s (except the e.s.d. in the dihedral angle between two l.s. planes) are estimated using the full covariance matrix. The cell e.s.d.'s are taken into account individually in the estimation of e.s.d.'s in distances, angles and torsion angles; correlations between e.s.d.'s in cell parameters are only used when they are defined by crystal symmetry.
