Abstract
To examine the appropriate treatment of oligo-terato-asthenozoospermic patients with metabolic syndrome, 45 patients were treated with metformin for 6 months. The use of metformin was associated with a statistically significant reduction in insulin resistance and sex hormone-binding globulin levels, a statistically significant increase in serum androgen levels, and a consequent improvement in semen characteristics.Entities:
