I Nestor, L Costin, D Sovrea, N Ionescu.

Abstract

Out of 220 tap-water samples examined, 3.64% were found to contain enteroviruses. The 11 isolates included 3 attenuated poliovirus, 2 Coxsackie A4 and 6 untyped strains. The necessity of improving the treatment of drinking water, especially by disinfection, is outlined.
