Abstract
BACKGROUND: Sophora flavescens Aiton is an important medicinal plant in China. Early in vitro researches of S. flavescens were focused on callus induction and cell suspension culture, only a few were concerned with in vitro multiplication.Entities:

Four leaves were chosen from each of five diploid control plants and each of five tetraploid plants. Twenty stomatal apparatus were measured for each leaf. Values represent the mean ± standard error.
