Abstract
In this paper, two different aspects of the relationship between chronic kidney disease and sudden cardiac death (SCD) have been reviewed. In end-stage renal disease patients, SCD risk is increased, and among patients implanted with a cardioverter defibrillator (ICD), dialysed ones carry a superior relative risk compared to non-dialysed ones. Cardiorenal syndrome patients have increase in SCD risk, and when receiving ICD implantation, survival improves.Entities:
