How I do it: chopsticks technique for hemostasis in tonsillectomy.

Toru Sasaki1, Koichi Tsunoda.

Abstract

We describe the "chopsticks" technique of simultaneous use of two instruments held in one hand during tonsillectomy. The technique allows the surgeon to simultaneously, retract the tonsils, clear the blood, and cauterize the tissue and thus achieve rapid hemostasis and a more efficient tonsillectomy. © Springer-Verlag 2010
