Abstract
Increased dietary saturated fat intake can lead to detrimental effects on human health. In this issue of Cell Metabolism, Lichtenstein et al. (2010) show that by inhibiting lipoprotein lipase (LPL) activity in mesenteric lymph nodes, Angiopoietin-like protein 4 (Angptl4) protects resident macrophages from dietary saturated fatty acid (SFA)-induced inflammation.Entities:
